"This is GREAT.  So many youth and their families celebrating a night together.  Over 80 came and enjoyed free admission to a movie of their choice."

PEER PRESENTER IN THE NEWS:

MESD Newsletter Featuring Ezra Farish who gave a peer presentation on National Children's Mental Health Day, May 8 2008

Ezra Farish gave a peer presentation on May 8th, National Children's Mental Health Day, and was recently featured in a segment by OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting) television and the Multnomah ESD newsletter:  http://www.mesd.k12.or.us/pa/Interaction5-16-08.pdf

"The presentation was a powerful vehicle to provide information to children about mental health while breaking down barriers to reduce stigma.  I hope we can continue to conduct outreach to children at school so they can become catalysts to change and provide a supportive environment for their peers."

- Naomi Bledsoe, Wraparound Oregon

Lane County Youth Programs

Youth ages eleven through eighteen years old that struggle with mental, emotional and/or behavioral challenges or have a family member or friend that does are invited to participate in our free youth programs.   Youth learn about their own mental health and behavioral challenges and how to adapt to the barriers they encounter through a peer-to-peer program model.  The Youth Leadership Committee plans a variety of support and recreational activities throughout the year.
