News in Training Department

OFSN IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE REGIONAL FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES STATEWIDE!!!

Through a generous contract with the Oregon Health Authority, OFSN is launching a new effort to provide families across the state with education, training and support.

Four Regional Family Support Specialists have recently been hired, and are now training to serve families raising children and youth ages 0-18 experiencing mental, emotional or behavioral health challenges in your part of the state. The services include: Parent Support Groups,Trainings in Collaborative Problem Solving, Changing Systems Together (Policy Training), and Journey to Advocacy (Advocacy Training). Additionally, our Regional Family Support Specialists will be available to assist families in navigating their local and regional children’s service systems.

Here we’d like to introduce them to you now – and you will learn more about each of them and the work they will be doing in your community.

Eastern Oregon – Sharyn Smith
Central Oregon – Janelle Leedon
Portland Metro- Mid-Willamette & North/Central Coast – Melissa First
Willammette Valley, Southern OR, Southern OR Coast – Jodie Periera
